Feature Story in Addison Independent Arts + Leisure
Thanks so much Elsie Lynn Parini from Addison Independent for the reintroduction to Vermont. Its great to be back in my Vergennes studio. I’m looking forward to the Vermont Open Studio Weekend in May for my grand re-opening. In the meantime, the studio is open by appointment or chance this winter.
Printing Fingerprint Prints
Our bodies make prints in some physical capacity everyday. We make footprints in the sand, leave handprints on the doors we open, and in some cases, give fingerprints after being arrested…
My latest group of monotypes, examine how my own fingerprints have slightly altered over time due to scarring, burning and loss of tissue. The original linear design of our fingerprint confirms our existence while the aged fingerprint tells our life story.
I find it symbolic and natural to use a monotype process to produce a unique print of a unique fingerprint.

California to Vermont Relocation

Ross Sheehan at FLYNNDOG Art Hop
Outerlands Gallery co-owner, Ross Sheehan, will have large-scale landscape paintings and a mixed media installation for the upcoming exhibit “Water Above, Sky Below” at the FLYNNDOG Gallery in Burlington, VT, as part of Art Hop weekend. Homer Wells, Rory Jackson and Duker Bower will also have their work on exhibit. Come join us for the opening reception on Friday September 6th.

Vermont Open Studio & Memorial Day Weekend Reception in Vergennes
Join us at Outerlands Gallery for our Grand Opening Reception on Saturday, May 25, 2013. We’ll have delicious appetizers from 3 Squares Cafe and dessert from Daily Chocolate. After, you can head next door to Antidote for drinks and to see more of the Outerlands show–15 abstract paintings by Ross Sheehan are currently on exhibit at Antidote.
We are participating in the VT Open Studio Weekend and will be open special hours for the Vergennes Memorial Day Weekend festivities as well.
