Bio
Ross Sheehan is an artist, illustrator, and educator investigating themes of psychogeography and the exploration of uncanny spaces and places. He currently lives and works in Aptos, California.
Ross has exhibited at venues such as Local Project in Queens NY, SOMArts Cultural Center in San Francisco, Art Ark Gallery in San Jose, Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival, Bennington Museum, Burlington City Arts (BCA), Southern Vermont Arts Center (SVAC), and International Print Center New York (IPCNY). He studied painting and art history in Florence, Italy, received his BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University, and his MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
In 2021, Ross founded the School of Psychogeographic Arts in Vergennes, Vermont, where he taught adult and youth art and urban exploration classes out of his studio. Coming in February, 2025, Ross will be launching the School of Psychogeographic Arts out of his new studio in the Seascape Village in Aptos, California. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally.
