A Different Place, Altogether

Ross Sheehan’s short film, ‘A Different Place, Altogether’ starts as an investigation of his own neighborhood eventually leading Ross to discover and nominate vanishing landmarks of the city of South Burlington, VT. The short film was selected to screen at the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival in 2020.

Vermont College of Fine Arts Campus Tours

During the pandemic, Ross Sheehan set out to create psychogeographic short films on VCFA’s closed campus. His intention was to lead virtual tours, document, and share campus highlights with MFA in Graphic Design graduate students who could not visit the closed campus during the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 residencies.

Ross Sheehan goes on a suspenseful psychogeographic excursion to see what’s behind the fence surrounding his studio sculpture garden in Vergennes, Vermont. This short film was shot in 2020 on a GoPro and remains unedited.

The original track was played via a wall mounted iPod with headphones in the Summer 2019 art installation ‘Scientist of Nothing’ at Vermont College of Fine Arts. All sounds were recorded on an iPhone by Ross Sheehan, 2019.
